Electronic newsletters are sent ONLY to people who have asked to receive them. Rather than focusing on what might be considered "news," these e-blasts are our way of communicating the imminent needs at the shelter. Recipients might learn that the shelter is in dire need of diapers, deodorant, cereal, cleaning supplies, or cough drops and kleenex, for instance. This makes it easy for our supporters to include First Light in their grocery stops that week, if they wish. The shelter is sustained by the generosity of cash and inkind donors -- we appreciate whatever help you can provide, whenever you can. The e-blast also reports needs for meal or overnight volunteers. Your email addresses will never be shared with outsiders - promise!
