First Light provides emergency shelter for single women and women with children who are homeless. We provide case management, referrals for immediate needs, meals, hygiene products, and a safe place to sleep. Programs include groups, resume building, and life skills.

A person must be at least 19+ and homeless at the time seeking shelter; must be able to take care of daily hygiene and care for themself. No ID or documentation is needed to enter shelter. Children 18 and younger should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

There is no cost to stay at the shelter.

Shelter has a 5pm curfew unless working, and a work schedule is required. Guests can have one bag of any size. Other rules will be reviewed after accepted into the shelter.

You are welcome to bring clothing and your personal bedding if desired (twin XL sheets). You will have access to a locker and two drawers to store your items. All items must fit within this space.

Individuals needing shelter should call First Light the day services are needed. We do not take reservations for future dates.

A person can walk in or call for shelter on the day services are needed.

Support First Light financially through one-time or recurring online gifts, bequests, stock donations, or contributions. You can also support First Light by donating essential supplies from our Current Needs List to help meet the daily needs of our shelter guests.

First Light only accepts specific clothing items on a need basis. If needed, these items would be listed on our Current Needs List.
